Stephanie Bayers, MD

Dr. Stephanie Bayers is a Board-Certified Dermatologist at The Derm Institute of Chicago. She grew up in Burr Ridge, Illinois, before leaving for medical training and is excited to return home for her dermatology practice. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern, in Dallas, Texas, her transitional year medical internship at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois, and her medical school education at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami. Prior to medical school, she also received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating magna cum laude from the Olin School of Business with a major in Accounting and a minor in Biology.

While at the University of Texas Southwestern, Dr. Bayers received the esteemed honor of becoming the Overall Chief Resident to lead her peers and ensure superior patient care. She was awarded the leadership award twice during her residency and the cognitive excellence award annually for her top performance on national dermatology exams. During her medical training in Miami, Dr. Bayers performed at the top of her medical school class, was awarded the Lange Student Award for Outstanding Achievement, and was one of only six students elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in her third year of medical school. She completed a year of research in pediatric dermatology at Northwestern University during her medical school education.

Dr. Bayers prefers a patient-centered approach, giving the patient autonomy in deciding which treatment option is best for them.

Dr. Bayers enjoys the medical, surgical and cosmetic aspects of dermatology for all ages and all skin types. She particularly enjoys getting to know her patients and being able to see improvement in their skin conditions over time.
