Dr. Fine graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in biology and neuroscience. She then attended Rush University Medical school where she graduated as a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Fine completed her internship year at Resurrection Medical Center, and then went on to complete her dermatology residency at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County. Following residency, she completed a laser & cosmetic fellowship under the direction of one of the most renowned dermatologists in the country. While there she received in-depth training on cutting-edge laser procedures and cosmetic treatments.
Dr. Fine practices both general and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Fine is highly experienced in performing laser procedures, as well as cosmetic procedures such as botulinum toxin injections and fillers. Her clinical interests include the treatment of scars and acne scarring in all skin types including skin of color, photorejuvenation and the treatment of pigment disorders such as melasma, and minimally invasive rejuvenation techniques using injectables and lasers. Dr. Fine also performs surgical treatments including cosmetic mole removal on the face and body. Her expertise in the treatment of scars ensures that any surgical scarring is kept to a minimum. Other clinical interests include the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and rashes, as well as skin conditions associated with underlying autoimmune or other inflammatory conditions.
Dr. Fine has written numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has authored multiple book chapters in dermatology textbooks. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Chicago Dermatology Society. She serves as a consulting physician at Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital.
Dr. Fine’s practice philosophy is centered around creating a strong physician-patient relationship over the long-term in a relaxed and comfortable environment. She strives to treat her patients as if they were family with an emphasis on disease prevention and preventive treatments to combat the signs of aging.
