Jill Cotseones, DO

Board-Certified Dermatologist

Dr. Cotseones is a board-certified, fellowship-trained medical and cosmetic dermatologist at the Derm Institute of Chicago. She attended medical school at Midwestern University College of Medicine where she graduated at the top of her class, with honors. She went on to complete a strenuous hospital-based internship at Loyola University Medical Center in internal medicine and completed her dermatology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania. There, she was the first recipient of the prestigious O’Fred Miller award for her excellence in compassionate patient care. Dr. Cotseones went on to complete a cosmetic and laser surgery fellowship with one of the most world-renowned experts in cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Suzanne Kilmer, where she participated in the latest clinical trials and received advanced training on cutting-edge cosmetic techniques and procedures.

Dr. Cotseones has published over thirteen articles in some of the most prestigious dermatologic journals and has written numerous book chapters for the most up-to-date cosmetic and laser surgery textbooks.  She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, as well as the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery where she has presented at some of the national meetings. Prior to joining the Derm Institute, she was a dermatologist with Northwestern Medicine.

For Dr. Cotseones, being a physician truly is a humbling profession, as she absolutely loves what she does and firmly believes that treating patients is an honor and a privilege. As a dermatologist, Dr. Cotseones aims to deliver excellent, compassionate care for her patients addressing not only their medical dermatologic concerns, performing skin cancer screenings and surgeries, but also offering a wide variety of cosmetic services such as neuromodulators, filler, and laser treatments.

Dr. Cotseones is not only a physician herself, but has also been a patient, as she was diagnosed with breast cancer at a very young age. She has always been very grateful to the skilled team of physicians and surgeons that saved her life as those doctors made a huge impact on her. She works as a dermatologist in the hope of making that same impact on her patients’ lives.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Cotseones enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, doing yoga, as well as serving on the board of directors of several non-profit cancer research organizations in Chicago.
